Job summary

The State of Idaho Division of Human Resources (DHR) in Boise seeks a Human Resource Business Partner I to provide integrated HR solutions for agencies including the Idaho Industrial Commission, Finance, Workforce Development Council, Tax Commission, and Health & Social Services Ombudsman.

You will consult with management and employees, conduct interviews, analyze jobs, develop descriptions, guide recruitment, administer benefits, and ensure compliance with applicable laws and policies.

Qualifications

• Interpreting, explaining, applying laws, regulations, and policies
• Counseling employees on human resource matters
• Knowledge of HR administration and equal employment opportunity concepts

Responsibilities

• Consulting with and advising employees and management on human resource matters
• Conducting in-depth interviews and research in HR areas and reporting findings
• Completing job analysis and developing job descriptions or classifications
• Assisting in recruitment process development and guidance to hiring managers
• Recommending personnel policy and procedure changes
• Reviewing personnel actions for compliance with laws and policies
• Determining eligibility and administering benefits
• Coordinating and facilitating employee orientation and training
• Preparing and submittal of personnel, payroll and benefits documents
• May process payroll and related functions
