Qualifications

• 4 year degree required.
• Eligible to obtain CPA, Law License/JD, or CMI.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, business, or related field preferred.
• 3 years of public accounting or industry experience in multi-state income/franchise tax compliance and consulting.
• Strong time management, communication, analytical thinking, and client service skills.
• Ability to manage complex projects, mentor junior staff, and collaborate across teams.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with tax software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with tax consulting issues including state income/franchise, sales taxes, M&A, nexus considerations, and filing positions.
• Conduct technical research on state tax laws and regulations and track legislation and case law.
• Analyze client data to identify filing obligations, exposures, and planning opportunities.
• Support clients in state tax audits, notices, and controversy matters.
• Maintain internal relationships across service lines and engagement teams.
• Develop expertise in state tax and communicate insights to clients and internal teams.
• Manage multiple client projects in a deadline-driven environment with accuracy and quality.
• Participate in mentoring, coaching, and learning initiatives to support development.
• Contribute to business development and relationship-building internally and externally.
