Job summary

Nubank is seeking a Senior Staff Technical Program Manager to serve as a horizontal technology leader across Core Infrastructure and Platform teams. You’ll own the program roadmap and guide large-scale architectural transformations, including AI/ML integration, to maximize engineering leverage.

You will collaborate with infrastructure, data engineering, and platform squads, define the long-term technical vision, and relentlessly unblock engineers in a fast-paced, high-scale environment.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in infrastructure, sites reliability engineering, or core backend engineering before moving into program leadership.
• Hands-on technical leadership with ability to unblock teams and contribute technically.
• Ownership mindset with entrepreneurial, raise-the-bar attitude.
• Deep experience with large-scale cloud-native systems, networks, and distributed databases.
• Track record in AI/ML transformation initiatives at scale.
• Experience navigating monoliths, microservices, and multi-year infrastructure roadmaps.

Responsibilities

• Own infrastructure evolution and lead large-scale architectural shifts (microservices, regionalization).
• Drive initiatives to improve hardware, database, and network utilization globally.
• Steer AI/ML platform transformations within foundational core platforms.
• Collaborate across infrastructure, data engineering, and platform squads to manage dependencies.
• Define North-Star architecture and translate vision into actionable engineering phases.
