Ping Identity, headquartered in Denver, Colorado, seeks a Senior Staff Software Engineer to join the Platform Engineering team. You will turn ideas into production capabilities and help deliver IAM features across the Ping platform, collaborating with a global, cross-functional group to ship secure, scalable solutions.

The role emphasizes API design, AI-enabled workflows, and production-grade services, using AI tooling to accelerate discovery while applying strong engineering judgment.

Qualifications

• Experience building production services, distributed systems, or shared platform capabilities.
• Experience designing APIs, RESTful services, integration contracts, and data models.
• Turn requirements and ambiguous problems into designs, prototypes, and production-ready solutions.
• Experience with authentication, authorisation, and identity management.
• Ability to communicate technical decisions clearly, collaborate across teams and time zones, and support other engineers.

Responsibilities

• Deliver IAM capabilities across the Ping platform encompassing the full stack from infrastructure to UI experiences.
• Design and implement APIs, models, workflows, orchestration surfaces, and services.
• Research and prototype solutions in emerging areas, turning validated ideas into product features.
• Collaborate with product management, UX, and engineering teams to refine features for customers.
• Participate in design, coding, testing, rollout, and production support.
• Use modern AI tooling to accelerate research, code understanding, prototyping, implementation, and documentation.
