Job summary

Moveworks is building the runtime infrastructure powering its AI agents that orchestrate, execute, and deliver responses to millions of enterprise users in real time. This is a distributed systems engineering role at the heart of the agentic AI wave.

You will work on an orchestration engine, session management, event-driven pipelines, and observability, ensuring correctness, low latency, and high availability across complex backend services.

Qualifications

• 10+ years building production backend/infrastructure systems.
• Strong in Python or Go (ideally both).
• Experience designing and operating systems that handle real traffic at scale.
• Comfort with ambiguity – novel problems without textbook solutions.

Responsibilities

• Agent orchestration engine development across long-running sessions.
• Distributed session management with DynamoDB and heartbeat protocols.
• Event-driven messaging with SQS, Kafka, and real-time streaming via gRPC/Socket.IO.
• Structured concurrency using Python asyncio TaskGroups with fail-fast semantics.
• Observability infrastructure development including OpenTelemetry and tracing.
• Caching/state layers with Redis and DynamoDB for per-org/per-bot scope.
