OpenArt AI is building the agent-enabled future of creative storytelling. We are seeking a senior/staff engineer to lead the agent harness architecture, enabling multi-model planning, memory, tool use, and orchestration for OpenArt’s next-gen products.

You’ll work closely with founders to shape platform direction, ship MCP-based tooling, and deliver reliable, scalable experiences to millions of creators. You’ll own production-grade systems, advance observability, and mentor engineers as the team

Qualifications

• 7+ years shipping production systems; 2+ years with production LLM-powered agents.
• Hands-on agent architecture: tool use, memory, planning, orchestration.
• Proven eval frameworks and observability for agentic systems.
• Strong system design and data modeling for real product use cases.
• Experience authoring reusable Agent Skills or structured workflows.
• Demonstrated technical leadership and direction-setting for teams.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end architecture of the agent harness that powers OpenArt's workflows.
• Design how agents plan and execute long-running creative tasks across multiple model vendors.
• Build and maintain MCP servers and CLI tooling to connect agents with services and pipelines.
• Author reusable Agent Skills and structured workflows; define patterns for others to adopt.
• Build the evaluation and observability stack to detect regressions before users see them.
• Drive reliability, latency, and cost per successful run as first-class metrics.
• Ship production frontend experiences (React/Next.js) for agent-driven products.
• Set the technical bar for agent engineering and provide mentorship as the team grows.
• Track agent ecosystem features and decide what belongs in OpenArt's stack.
• Partner with founders, product, design, and GTM to translate needs into direction.
