Job summary

OpenGov is hiring a Staff Project Manager to own delivery on complex government implementations within the Professional Services Strategic Projects team. This IC role coordinates Solutions Architecture, Technical, and Change Management to ensure scope, risk, and governance are controlled and aligned with client expectations.

The Staff PM serves as the primary program contact forDirector- and VP-level stakeholders, guiding multi-department engagements with discipline and clear documentation.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of progressive program and project management experience in a SaaS environment.
• Experience coordinating across implementation, product, engineering, and sales functions without direct authority.
• Experience with complex governmental clients or regulated/public-sector environments.
• Bachelor's degree preferred or commensurate experience.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end delivery for multi-suite, multi-department government implementations and phased go-live planning.
• Coordinate SA, Technical, and Change Management resources without direct reporting authority.
• Define governance artifacts (RAID logs, decision registers, escalation paths) for complex engagements.
• Escalate risks with lead time for intervention and document change orders before disputes.
• Serve as primary client-contact for Director- and VP-level stakeholders throughout the lifecycle.
• Produce client-ready status reports, memos, and steering materials; support scoping with Sales.
