Job summary

OpenGov is seeking a Project Manager II within its Government App Builder team to manage SaaS implementation projects for public-sector clients deploying grants management and funding workflow solutions. You will work closely with government finance, grants, and budget stakeholders, cross-functional technical teams, and project sponsors to deliver on time, within scope, and within budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, or related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of project management or related experience in a SaaS environment.
• Strong organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize, and work under tight deadlines.
• Familiarity with software implementation processes and project lifecycle management.
• Technical aptitude with PM and CRM tools (e.g., Rocketlane).

Responsibilities

• Manage scopes, timelines, budgets, and deliverables for multiple government clients.
• Organize and deliver a portfolio of projects spanning 4-9 months.
• Serve as primary client contact for day-to-day matters across stakeholders.
• Track and report delivery metrics: status, budget, compliance, adoption, risks.
• Coordinate with analysts and consultants on scope, UAT, training, and go-live.
• Identify and escalate risks related to resources, scope creep, timelines.
• Conduct and coordinate user training and delivery artifacts for government audiences.
• Support sales, SOW creation, and customer discovery for scoping realism.
• Occasionally travel to customer sites for training and stakeholder meetings.
