Job summary

Planet Technologies is seeking a PMO Manager to lead the project management office and deliver high-quality IT projects for the public sector. The role manages a remote PMO team, oversees governance, tracking, and stakeholder communications, and ensures delivery within scope, time, and budget.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in PMO leadership, strong Agile/PMBOK knowledge, budgeting experience, and the ability to work with executive leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business or technology or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of five years as PMO Manager/Director in a large enterprise.
• Strong understanding of Agile and PMBOK methodologies.
• Experience delivering complex IT projects with technical deployments.
• Experience budgeting, cost control, and risk/issue management.
• Adherence to SOWs and delivery standards.
• Clear communication with vertical leadership and cross-functional teams.
• Risk identification and mitigation guidance for staff.
• Ability to adapt to changing project dynamics.
• At least two of PMP, PMI-ACP, CSM, or Microsoft Project certifications.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day PMO operations, team leadership, and project delivery.
• Ensure projects meet scope, schedule, and budget expectations.
• Communicate with executives and departments to maintain alignment.
• Supervise remote PMO staff handling multiple projects.
• Demonstrate strong communication, problem-solving, and adaptability.
• Drive exceptional service and partnership aligned with Planet’s standards.
