Job summary

Etsy, Inc. is seeking a Senior Staff Product Manager, User & Content Understanding to lead Etsy’s product strategy in ML.

You will work across teams to build richer representations of buyers and listings, shaping personalization, search, and discovery. In this senior IC role within the ML organization, you’ll partner with Search, Recommendations, Ads, Buyer Experience, and ML Platform to set the broader Understanding strategy and mentor other PMs, while influencing senior technical and product

Qualifications

• Extensive PM experience leading large, ambiguous problems with meaningful impact.
• Deep experience with ML-powered consumer products (Search/Recommendations/Ads/Discovery).
• Experience in e-Commerce context is a plus.
• Strong understanding of search and recommender systems, embeddings, retrieval and ranking, multimodal models, LLMs, cold start and evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Define Etsy’s User & Content Understanding strategy.
• Guide buyer representations and inventory understanding across marketplace content.
• Influence roadmaps across engineering, data science, and product teams.
• Mentor PMs and raise ML product thinking across the organization.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners to align on shared strategies and outcomes.
