Job summary

Etsy is seeking a Senior Product Manager to lead strategy and delivery for promoted recommendation experiences. You’ll partner with engineering, applied science, analytics, and research to improve matching quality while protecting the buyer experience and creating sustainable business value.

Reporting to the manager title, you will be eligible for equity, an annual bonus, and competitive benefits as part of Etsy’s total rewards package.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of product management experience in a ML-driven product area.
• Experience with retrieval and ranking systems, preferably in ads or marketplaces.
• Ability to translate customer problems into measurable product outcomes.
• Strong collaboration with ML engineers, data scientists and analysts.

Responsibilities

• Set product direction and roadmap for promoted recommendation experiences.
• Partner with ML/analytics teams to define problems, objectives and evaluation plans.
• Lead discovery and experiments using offline data and online tests.
• Improve retrieval and ranking of promoted listings while protecting buyer experience.
• Coordinate across Etsy to unify organic and promoted recommendations.
• Communicate tradeoffs, priorities, and outcomes to stakeholders.
