ServiceNow is hiring a Senior Staff Software Engineer to lead architecture for the Workflow Data Fabric (WDF) platform, solving high‑impact data-access and movement challenges. You will set direction for Zero Copy Connectors, Remote Process Sync, and Private Connectivity while remaining hands-on in code.

You will mentor engineers, drive performance benchmarks, and partner with product and security teams to shape scalable, secure data platforms for enterprise customers.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of professional software engineering experience in large-scale systems.
• Deep expertise in distributed systems and data platform fundamentals.
• Experience with Kubernetes-based services and multi-tenant SaaS architectures.
• Proven track record leading architecture across multiple teams.
• Strong hands-on coding in a systems language (Java/C++/Go/Scala).
• Experience solving complex performance and scalability problems.
• Ability to influence cross-functional teams through clear communication.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end architecture for Zero Copy Connectors across federated query paths.
• Lead Remote Process Sync architecture for high-volume integrations.
• Drive Private Connectivity (Reverse Tunnel) security and performance.
• Provide cross-team technical leadership across the WDF portfolio.
• Lead architecture reviews and document build-vs-buy decisions.
• Write production code in critical paths and validate performance.
• Define performance and scalability strategies with benchmarks and models.
• Mentor senior engineers and grow technical depth across teams.
