Job summary

ServiceNow is seeking a Staff Software Engineer (IC4) to join our Data Platform Engineering team in a hybrid role. You will own components from design through production, coordinating with senior ICs to align with platform standards and scaling needs.

You will heavily contribute hands-on to operators, controllers, automation, and platform services, while mentoring junior engineers and driving reliability and test coverage. Strong Go and Kubernetes expertise required.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software development with a relevant degree or equivalent.
• 5+ years building workloads on Kubernetes and cloud platforms.
• Strong Go programming skills and containers/CI/CD expertise.
• Hyperscaler experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP is expected.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate components within a cloud-native platform.
• Lead well-scoped projects from design to production delivery.
• Collaborate with senior engineers to align with architecture and standards.
• Improve reliability, scalability, and operability; write tests and runbooks.
• Hands-on development and mentoring of junior engineers through code reviews.
