ServiceNow is seeking a Staff Software Engineer (IC4) to join our Data Platform Engineering team. The role focuses on owning well-scoped components and delivering them end-to-end with hands-on contribution.

You will design, build, operate cloud-native platform components and mentor junior engineers while ensuring reliability, scalability, and operability. This hybrid position requires 2 days in the office at multiple Bay Area locations, including Santa Clara.

Qualifications

• Experience integrating AI into engineering work, coding tools, or automating workflows.
• 8+ years of software development with a degree; or 5+ years with a Master's; or 3+ years with a PhD.
• 5+ years building, deploying, and operating workloads on Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate components within the cloud-native platform from design to production.
• Lead well-scoped projects; translate requirements into solid technical designs.
• Collaborate with senior and principal engineers to align with architecture and standards.
