Job summary

ServiceNow is seeking a Staff Software Engineer for the Data Platform. This hybrid role involves designing and delivering cloud-native platform features, leading projects, and collaborating with senior engineers to ensure architectural alignment.

You’ll spend time on hands-on development, building operators, automation, and platform services used by other teams. Your background includes 8+ years of software development with a relevant degree, strong Go skills, Kubernetes hands-on experience, and

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software development experience with a Bachelor's degree, or 5+ with a Master's, or 3+ with a PhD, or equivalent.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience building, deploying and operating workloads on Kubernetes.
• Experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Strong knowledge of containers, CI/CD, GitOps, and infrastructure-as-code.
• Proficient in Go or a systems language with willingness to work in Go.

• Lead well-scoped projects from requirements to production.
