Job summary

Chime seeks Senior Staff and Staff Engineers to lead the high-impact Trust and Safety group, shaping the vision for a foundational pillar of the company. You will provide technical and architectural guidance across multiple teams, crafting scalable risk frameworks and secure infrastructure.

You will mentor engineers, drive cross-functional collaboration with product and engineering leadership, and help ensure performance, reliability, and security while supporting growth and reducing fraud

Qualifications

12+ years of software engineering experience.
Built and evolved high-scale back-end solutions.
End to end member facing features and systems experience.
Strong competency in distributed systems and scalable platforms.
Experience leading multiple teams.

Responsibilities

Lead cross-functional vision with engineering and product leadership.
Design and evolve new and existing capabilities.
Deliver secure, reliable, high-performance infrastructure and APIs.
Identify and resolve bottlenecks in development and infrastructure.
Write and guide engineers to produce scalable code with ownership mindset.
Mentor others in design and architecture.
Act as Team Lead when needed on projects.
Ensure decisions meet quality, performance, scalability, reliability, availability, and security goals.
Contribute to organization-level architecture decisions with domain expertise.
