Chime is seeking Senior Staff and Staff Software Engineers to lead the Trust & Safety organization, shaping the vision for a foundational pillar of our platform.

You will provide architectural guidance across multiple teams, design scalable back-end solutions, and mentor engineers to deliver secure, high-performance systems while balancing reliability, security, and speed in a hybrid work environment across Chicago and San Francisco.

Qualificações

• 12+ years of software engineering experience.
• Built and evolved high-scale back-end solutions.
• Experience building end-to-end member-facing features and systems.
• Strong competency in distributed systems and high-availability design.
• Experience leading and empowering multiple teams.
• Language- and technology-agnostic mindset.
• Ability to work in an agile setting.

Responsabilidades

• Work with leadership to build cross-functional vision.
• Design and evolve capabilities.
• Deliver secure, reliable, high-performance infrastructure and APIs.
• Identify bottlenecks in development and infrastructure.
• Guide engineers to scalable, elegant code with an owner's mindset.
• Mentor and lead teams; act as Team Lead when needed.
• Ensure decisions support quality, performance, scalability, reliability, and security.
• Contribute to architecture decisions with domain expertise.
