Job summary

Chime is seeking a Senior Engineer to lead technical direction and architecture for our Trust & Safety platform. You will mentor engineers, shape system design, and own key projects end-to-end to deliver secure, performant infrastructure that protects members.

You will collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and product managers to ship impactful features while improving reliability through observability and automation. Hybrid work and on-call rotations are part of the role.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience developing software in production at scale.
• Experience as a technical lead on complex projects.
• Proven ability to design and drive architectural decisions.
• Mentoring engineers and fostering team development.
• Commitment to maintainable and well-tested code.
• Curiosity about system architectures and challenges.

Responsibilities

• Drive technical design and architectural decisions while mentoring engineers.
• Lead multiple projects, balancing ownership with cross-functional support.
• Build and maintain robust, low-latency APIs and backend services.
• Serve as domain expert for platform architecture and technical decisions.
• Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and product managers to ship features.
