Job summary

Cisco is seeking a Technical Leader to define and build core identity capabilities across cloud, on-premises, and hybrid architectures. You will lead technical strategy from concept to production, shaping enterprise-grade software that secures AI systems.

You will drive design reviews, establish standards for non-human identity, and mentor engineers while delivering scalable production MVPs and reusable tooling for platform teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical field with substantial software engineering experience.
• 10+ years designing and building distributed systems or security platforms in production.
• 5+ years implementing enterprise identity, authentication, or access protocols (OAuth 2.0/2.1, OIDC, SAML, SCIM, LDAP, SPIFFE, or mTLS).
• 4+ years with containerization tech (Docker/Kubernetes) and at least one major cloud platform (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• 3+ years of security engineering principles, including threat modeling or security architecture reviews.

Responsibilities

• Architect and build core identity capabilities across cloud, on-prem, and hybrid architectures.
• Deliver developer tooling, APIs, and integration patterns for cross-team adoption.
• Drive cross-functional alignment with Security, AI Platform, Product, and Cloud Ops teams.
• Lead technical excellence through architectural direction, reviews, and mentoring.
• Deliver production MVPs by prototyping and validating solutions with partners.
