Job summary

Cisco Systems, Inc. is seeking a Technical Leader to define and build core identity capabilities for AI agents across cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments. You will steer technical strategy from concept through production, delivering enterprise-grade software that secures and powers next-generation AI systems.

You will prototype MVPs, collaborate with Security, AI Platform, and Cloud Operations, and mentor engineers to establish standards for non-human identity and scalable services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field with 12+ years of software engineering experience or Master’s with 8+ years of relevant experience
• 10+ years of experience designing and building distributed systems, backend services, or security platforms in production
• 4+ years of experience with containerization technologies (Docker, containerd, Kubernetes) and at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• 3+ years of experience with security engineering principles, including threat modeling or security reviews

Responsibilities

• Architect and build core identity capabilities across cloud, on-premises, and hybrid architectures.
• Lead technical strategy from concept to production deployment.
• Deliver scalable production services for AI agent identity and access management.
• Mentor engineering talent and set architectural direction.
• Prototype MVPs and validate with internal and external partners.
