Job summary

Cisco is seeking a Technical Leader to define and build core identity capabilities for AI agents across cloud, on‑prem, and hybrid environments. You will drive architectural strategy from concept to production, delivering scalable identity and access solutions that secure next‑generation AI systems.

You will lead design reviews, mentor engineers, and deliver MVPs by prototyping solutions and validating them with partners, while collaborating with Security, AI Platform, Product, and Cloud Ops

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a technical field with 12+ years of software engineering experience, or Master’s with 8+ years.
• 10+ years designing and building distributed systems or security platforms in production.
• 5+ years implementing enterprise identity/authentication protocols (OAuth, OIDC, SAML, SCIM, LDAP, SPIFFE, mTLS).
• 4+ years with Docker/containerization and at least one cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• 3+ years of security engineering incl. threat modeling and security architecture reviews.

Responsibilities

• Architect and build scalable identity and access management for AI agents across cloud and on-prem.
• Deliver tooling, APIs, SDKs, and integration patterns for platform teams.
• Drive cross-functional alignment with Security, AI Platform, Product, and Cloud Ops.
• Lead technical excellence: set architecture direction, reviews, and standards for non-human identity.
• Deliver production MVPs; prototype and iterate solutions with internal/external partners.
