Job summary

Cisco Systems is seeking a Technical Leader to design and build core identity capabilities for AI agents across cloud, on‑prem, and hybrid environments. You will shape technical strategy, mentor engineers, and deliver scalable production services.

You will drive architectural direction, conduct design reviews, and collaborate with Security, AI Platform, Product, and Cloud Ops teams to meet stringent security and reliability requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a technical field with 12+ years of software engineering experience, or a Master’s with 8+ years of relevant experience.
• 10+ years designing and building distributed systems, backend services, or security platforms in production.
• 5+ years implementing enterprise identity/authentication protocols (OAuth 2.0/2.1, OIDC, SAML, SCIM, LDAP, SPIFFE, or mTLS).
• 4+ years containerization experience (Docker, containerd, or Kubernetes) and at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• 3+ years security engineering principles, including threat modeling and security reviews.

• Architect and build core identity capabilities for AI agents across cloud, on‑prem, and hybrid architectures.
• Deliver developer tooling, APIs, SDKs, and integration patterns for platform adoption.
