Position Overview :

We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Staff Accountant to join our finance team in an aerospace and military manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for overseeing financial reporting, cost accounting, and compliance with government contracts and regulations. The ideal candidate will have experience in manufacturing accounting, particularly in DCAA, FAR, and DFARS compliance, as well as expertise in managing budgets, audits, and financial controls.

Key Job Duties :

• Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Manage cost accounting functions, including inventory valuation and job costing.
• Ensure adherence to GAAP, DCAA, FAR, and DFARS regulations.
• Support audits, including government contract and financial audits.
• Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis.
• Assist with tax filings and regulatory reporting.
• Streamline accounting processes to improve efficiency.

Experience / Skills Requirements :

• 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in defense or aerospace manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of government contract accounting and compliance.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Education Requirements :

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA / CMA preferred).
