We are working with a growing commercial real estate company based in the DT Miami area, seeking to hire a Senior Staff Accountant / Property Accountant. This is a great opportunity to join a growing company and gain further exposure to financial operations alongside traditional property accounting responsibilities.

About the Role

Must Have: Yardi Experience, Prior Real Estate Experience

Responsibilities

• Perform various accounting functions including but not limited to:
• Monthly property-level bank reconciliations
• Recording cash receipts to tenant ledgers and assisting with posting monthly recurring charges
• Recording Accounts Payable invoices using the Yardi automated invoicing module (pending implementation)
• Maintaining property-level rent rolls
• Assisting with Month-End closing processes, including prepaid expenses, accrued expenses, and recording amortization/depreciation
• Preparing and analyzing Monthly Financial Reports
• Collaborating with third-party property management companies and joint venture partners
• Recording journal entries for real estate asset acquisitions or dispositions
• Assisting with property-level budget and forecasting activities
• Supporting financial statements and work papers for external audits
• Handling Year-End CAM reconciliations and tenant chargebacks
• Participating in special projects and other duties as assigned
