Job summary

PNC is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer within the Information Technology Group and Site Reliability Center (SRC). Based at one of PNC's IT Hubs (Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Dallas, Birmingham, Denver or Phoenix), you will stabilize environments, design capacity planning, and implement robust monitoring and dashboards.

You will analyze metrics, lead incident response, ensure availability and performance, and mentor junior staff.

• Linux (RHEL) administration.
• IBM GPFS / Spectrum Scale.
• Slurm Scheduler administration.
• Shell/Bash scripting.
• Basic Python.
• Linux networking & security.
• Storage/File Systems (LVM, NAS).
• Spark / Jupyter.
• Production support & incident resolution.
• Performance monitoring & troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Identifies and stabilizes environments and sites; capacity planning.
• Defines and implements dashboards and monitoring; establishes SLAs/SLOs.
• Analyzes metrics to aid performance tuning; troubleshoots incidents; participates in blameless post-mortems.
• Optimizes complex systems, deployment, configuration, monitoring, and capacity planning.
• Contributes to testing strategies, incident response, root cause analysis, and continual improvement.
• Mentors junior team members on infrastructure management and disaster recovery.
