Job summary

PNC seeks an Software Engineering Manager – Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) to lead a daylight shift across multiple hubs, including Birmingham, AL. You will drive reliability, observability, and automation, coordinating cross-functional teams to improve service performance and incident response.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of industry experience with at least 3 years in management.
• University/college degree required or equivalent combination of education and certification.

Responsibilities

• Manage SRE teams, coach engineers, set goals, and drive ownership.
• Provide after-hours on-call leadership for critical incidents.
• Lead incident response, diagnostics, and remediation across layers.
• Guide production support, troubleshooting across apps, infra, and databases.
• Drive RCA efforts and implement permanent fixes to reduce incidents.
