Job summary

PDI Technologies is seeking a Manager of Site Reliability Engineering to lead the SRE org supporting Paylo, PDI’s payments, loyalty, and fuel-pricing platforms. You will manage ~20 engineers and 3 SRE managers, staying hands-on while setting the reliability strategy and engineering standards.

You will drive incident management, IaC, CI/CD, and observability across AWS/Azure, with a focus on scalable, secure, and compliant operations for high-traffic customer-facing systems.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or Infrastructure/Platform Engineering, including 4+ years in a people-leadership role.
• Hands-on experience managing managers; scale of ~20 total reports.
• Strong multi-cloud expertise across AWS and Azure, with hands-on operation.
• Proficiency with Kubernetes and Helm, including design/maintenance.
• Experience with Argo CD/Argo Workflows for GitOps.
• IaC expertise with Terraform/OpenTofu, including state management.
• Jenkins-driven CI/CD design and automation.
• Datadog-based observability, dashboards, and APM/tracing at scale.
• Proven incident management, on-call, and postmortem programs.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Directly manage and develop 3 SRE Managers/Leads and ~20-person SRE org health and growth.
• Set vision and cadence for reliability; translate priorities into a roadmap.
• Hire, coach, and create career paths; establish succession plans.
• Foster blameless culture around incidents and on-call.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and business stakeholders on reliability investments.
• Stay technically engaged in architecture reviews and production issue triage.
• Enforce engineering standards for multi-cloud and Kubernetes scale.
• Own GitOps adoption with Argo CD/Argo Workflows and CI/CD pipelines.
• Own IaC strategy (Terraform/OpenTofu) and module/state management.
• Design and drive CI/CD architecture with Jenkins; implement progressive delivery.
• Evaluate new infra tooling; evolve platform across AWS and Azure.
• Own observability strategy with Datadog; define SLOs and reliability KPIs.
• Lead incident management end-to-end with postmortems and remediation actions.
• Drive root-cause analysis and long-term reliability investments.
• Ensure resilience, disaster recovery, and capacity planning for payment systems.
• Collaborate with Security/Compliance for PCI DSS readiness.
• Track cost, capacity, and KPIs to senior leadership.
