Job summary

Truist is seeking a Site Reliability Engineering Lead to strengthen reliability across hybrid cloud and on-prem environments. The role drives automation, observability, and incident management, leading a senior team of engineers to improve uptime and resilience.

The candidate will guide problem management, standardize practices, and mentor engineers while aligning with enterprise reliability frameworks and strategic roadmaps.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong knowledge of programming languages, architecture, and design principles.
• Understanding of SDLC, testing, deployment, and security practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead major and high-severity incident responses and drive multi-team resolution.
• Architect automation to reduce toil, MTTR, and increase resilience.
• Define standardized incident playbooks, escalation paths, and comms frameworks.
• Mentor and coach SREs, and collaborate across domains to raise technical maturity.
