Job summary

Truist is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineering Lead to drive reliability across hybrid cloud and on-prem environments. The role emphasizes automation, observability, and incident leadership, with collaboration across multiple teams and a focus on reducing downtime.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of professional software development or SRE experience.
• Deep knowledge of multiple programming languages, architecture, and design.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, testing, deployment, and security practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead major and high-severity incident responses with cross-team coordination.
• Architect and implement automation to reduce toil and MTTR.
• Standardize observability and incident playbooks enterprise-wide.
• Mentor and coach SREs; drive technical reviews and knowledge sharing.
• Collaborate with Delivery, Architecture, Security, and Risk teams.
• Champion reliability practices and contribute to enterprise frameworks.
