Job summary

Truist is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to enhance reliability and operational excellence across hybrid cloud and on‑prem environments. You will lead major incident responses, drive automation, and standardize observability while mentoring the SRE team.

The role requires 7+ years in distributed systems and strong leadership in incident management, with hands-on work in Kubernetes, cloud-native tooling, and CI/CD. Onsite in Charlotte, Raleigh, or Atlanta with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in software development.
Deep knowledge of multiple programming languages, software architecture, and design principles.
Deep understanding of software development lifecycle, testing, deployment, and security practices.

Responsibilities

Lead major incident responses and drive multi-team technical resolution.
Architect and deliver automation solutions to reduce toil and MTTR.
Enhance observability using logs, metrics, traces, and events with Dynatrace and Splunk.
Coach and mentor engineers to raise the technical bar and share knowledge.
Partner with cross-functional teams to embed reliability and resilience into designs.
