Job summary

Truist Financial Corporation seeks a senior Site Reliability Engineer to enhance reliability across hybrid cloud and on-prem environments. The role leads incident management, automation, and observability while collaborating with product and architecture teams.

The successful candidate has 7+ years of distributed systems experience, Kubernetes expertise, and strong leadership in incident management. Onsite in Charlotte, Raleigh, or Atlanta with a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
7+ years of professional software development experience.
Deep knowledge of multiple programming languages, software architecture, and design principles.
Deep understanding of SDLC, testing, deployment, and security practices.

Responsibilities

Lead major and high-severity incident responses and drive multi-team resolution.
Drive problem management to closure and implement systemic fixes.
Architect and deliver automation to eliminate toil and increase resilience.
Enhance observability with telemetry, alerts, and event correlation.
Develop and enforce runbooks, playbooks, and recovery patterns.
Mentor engineers and raise technical standards through reviews.
