Waystar is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer II to design and optimize reliability, scalability, and performance across critical platforms. You will drive automation, observability, and operational excellence while collaborating with engineering, product, and infrastructure teams.

The role emphasizes leading incidents, developing resilient deployment pipelines, and mentoring engineers to adopt reliability best practices, with a strong focus on cloud environments (AWS/GCP/Azure) and IaC

Qualifications

• 7+ years in SRE/DevOps or related field.
• Hands-on with AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Kubernetes and containerized environments.
• Infrastructure as Code with Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Observability platforms (Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, etc.).
• Scripting in Python or PowerShell; CI/CD experience.
• Strong collaboration and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize reliability, scalability, and performance of critical platforms.
• Define and measure SLIs/SLOs and error budgets.
• Lead incidents and drive blameless postmortems and improvements.
• Mentor teams and influence architectural decisions for reliability.
