Globalstar seeks a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to strengthen reliability, performance, and on-call depth for its large-scale data platform. You will focus on infrastructure engineering, data pipelines, monitoring strategy, and operational excellence to scale a complex monitoring and analytics capability.

The role requires hands-on leadership, IaC adoption, and collaboration with engineering teams to ensure fast, cost-efficient, and dependable operations across regions.

Qualificações

• 7+ years in Site Reliability Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• Strong experience with modern data infrastructure including streaming/data pipelines.
• Proficiency in at least one systems programming language (Go, Java, or similar).
• Practical experience with observability and monitoring tooling in a production environment.
• Demonstrated on-call experience and postmortem writing.
• Comfort with infrastructure-as-code and modern CI/CD or GitOps practices.
• Strong communication skills—able to explain tradeoffs to engineers and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsabilidades

• Own the health and performance of a large-scale data and monitoring pipeline.
• Continuously improve system performance, cost-efficiency, and scalability.
• Evaluate and integrate monitoring tools—open-source and commercial.
• Design and maintain deterministic checks for alerting and data quality.
• Lead or contribute to incident response, on-call rotations, and root-cause analysis.
• Support disaster-recovery planning including regional failover exercises.
