Job summary

Waystar in Oregon is seeking an experienced Senior Reliability Engineer to design and optimize scalable, reliable platforms. You will champion SRE practices, implement SLIs/SLOs, and drive automation to reduce toil while improving performance.

You will lead incident response, conduct blameless postmortems, and mentor teams to adopt resilient architectures. Strong collaboration with software and platform teams is essential to ship reliable services at scale.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in SRE/DevOps or related field.
• Deep experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Strong experience with Kubernetes.
• Hands-on with IaC tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Knowledge of observability platforms (Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk).
• Experience designing and troubleshooting distributed systems at scale.
• Strong scripting in Python or PowerShell.
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines and automation frameworks.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to drive technical initiatives and influence across teams.
