Job summary

Lumin Digital is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to ensure reliability, availability, and scalability of our applications. This role emphasizes automation, SLO adherence, and collaboration with SWE to implement best practices for large-scale systems.

The ideal candidate thrives on solving complex problems, automating processes, and building resilient systems, with hands-on experience in Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years of experience as a software engineer; TypeScript and Go experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, and document software solutions to site reliability challenges.
• Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines to improve deployment efficiency.
• Monitor and resolve issues in all environments, ensuring SLO and uptime targets are consistently met.
• Collaborate with Software Engineers to address SRE concerns during feature design and deployment.
• Build, maintain, and support the local development environment on macOS and Windows.
• Participate in capacity planning and demand forecasting to proactively address performance bottlenecks and scalability needs.
• Perform change management to maintain system stability and minimize disruptions.
• Generate uptime and SLO reports for internal review and leadership visibility.
• Engage in SRE scrum team activities to drive agile development processes.
• Ensure security best practices are followed, safeguarding data integrity and system resilience.
