Job summary
Bloomerang is seeking an experienced Site Reliability Engineer to evolve our SRE practices, improve product reliability, and raise observability across systems. You will work across code, telemetry, databases, APIs, and infrastructure to diagnose complex production issues and implement permanent, proactive reliability improvements.
The role emphasizes collaboration with software engineering, on-call responsibility during business hours, and a strong focus on automation, SLOs, and AI-assisted
Qualifications
- Hands-on SRE with experience applying software practices to production reliability.
- Strong knowledge of SLIs, SLOs, error budgets, observability, automation and toil reduction.
Responsibilities
- Own complex production support escalations and triage with hands-on troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with Software Engineering to diagnose issues and drive permanent fixes.
- Introduce proactive reliability, automation, and ongoing improvement.
- Lead incident response from triage to post-incident review and recovery.
- Build observability through metrics, logs, traces, dashboards, and alerts.
- Define SLIs/SLOs to measure reliability and customer experience.
- Develop synthetic monitoring for critical user journeys.
- Identify recurring toil and drive automation and tooling improvements.
- Use AI-assisted tooling to accelerate triage, coding, and automation.
- Participate in rotating on-call with limited after-hours support.
