Job summary

O’Reilly Auto Parts in Springfield, MO seeks Site Reliability Engineers to ensure availability, reliability, scalability, and performance of our eCommerce microservices, applying SRE principles with SLOs, SLIs and error budgets.

This on-site role collaborates with product and engineering teams to design observability, automate toil, lead incident responses, and foster blameless postmortems while driving reliability across cloud-based systems.

Qualifications

• Requires 4+ years in SRE/production operations supporting large-scale eCommerce platforms.
• Hands-on with distributed systems, cloud deployments, and observability tooling.
• Experience defining and measuring SLIs, SLOs, error budgets, and incident management.

Responsibilities

• Define, implement, and own SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets for critical microservices.
• Lead incident response and blameless postmortems; track actions in Jira.
• Develop observability platforms with metrics, logs, traces, and real-time telemetry.
• Promote shift-left reliability and automate repetitive tasks into Jira stories.
• Collaborate with Scrum teams to ensure release readiness and changes validation.
