Job summary

Early Warning is seeking an experienced engineer to build and maintain scalable application infrastructure with focus on reliability, automation, and security. You will collaborate with development teams to implement microservice patterns, ensure observability, and support 24x7 operations.

The role emphasizes incident/problem management, automation, and capacity planning, with a hybrid work model across U.S. locations and an incentive to deliver secure, high-performance services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business and/or Computer Science or related field.
• 3+ years of related experience managing large complex projects in a technical or software development environment.
• Demonstrated experience in effective Incident and Problem Management.
• Proven related work experience in a medium to large scale enterprise.
• Strong understanding of scripting languages.
• Hands on experience implementing and using modern Observability solutions.
• Linux systems administration.
• Good knowledge of Git.
• Experienced with security and encryption protocols.
• Comfortable with facilitating collaboration, open communication and reaching across functional borders.
• Excellent oral and written communication and people skills.
• Background and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Implement software and tools to improve performance, availability, scalability, and latency.
• Build automation and tooling around application management (deployments, config changes, DR).
• Implement and evangelize Observability and monitoring systems.
• Evaluate capacity and provide stats to Product/Business teams for scaling.
• Identify performance bottlenecks and work with cross-functional teams to resolve issues.
• Implement standards across disciplines and practices to improve delivery.
• Work with development teams to provide feedback and technical requirements for microservice design and modern SDLC.
• Serve as a technical liaison and provide runbooks to Level 1/2 teams.
• Participate in 24x7 on‑call rotation.
• Develop repeatable patterns and reusable work across teams.
• Support data integrity and security.
