Job summary

ISO New England Inc. is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to improve reliability, observability, and automation of IT services. The role spans infrastructure, platform, security, and applications with a strong focus on Splunk and IaC.

You will implement scalable automation, dashboards, and resilience patterns while collaborating across teams to ensure production readiness and optimal performance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in SRE, DevOps, systems engineering, or IT operations.
• Experience with enterprise monitoring/observability platforms; strong Splunk interest.
• Experience designing/deploying infrastructure with Terraform and IaC.
• Strong scripting in Python/PowerShell/Bash for tooling and automation in production.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain observability, monitoring, logging, alerting, and telemetry platforms (Splunk, Dynatrace, etc.).
• Administer, maintain, automate, and improve the Splunk platform and related workflows.
• Develop dashboards and KPIs for IT service health.
• Engineer resilience patterns including HA, DR, and automated failover.
• Plan resilience testing and recovery exercises with partner teams.
• Identify and reduce manual toil through automation and runbooks.
• Design and deploy automation using Python/PowerShell/Bash; use Terraform and IaC.
• Collaborate with architecture and application teams for production readiness.
