You will modernize technology, build resilient systems, and partner with engineering, infrastructure, and business teams to improve observability and deployment practices.

The role emphasizes Azure cloud, Terraform IaC, CI/CD automation, and release engineering for highly available online and mobile banking experiences.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree with relevant work experience in systems analysis or application development.
• Experience with enterprise applications in production environments.
• Knowledge of SRE principles, observability, and reliability practices.
• Experience with Azure cloud environments and IaC using Terraform.
• Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation with modern tooling.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, maintain, and support highly available, resilient applications and services within M&T's Digital Banking ecosystem.
• Work within SDLC boundaries to design and develop applications that meet business needs while minimizing operational risk.
• Author clean, secure, and maintainable code for customer-facing digital banking platforms.
• Implement and support SRE best practices: monitoring, observability, automation, alerting, incident response, and production support.
• Develop and enhance solutions to improve availability, resiliency, fault tolerance, and performance.
• Support SLOs/SLAs and production readiness reviews; participate in release planning and deployment activities.
• Review pull requests, provide feedback, and manage merge conflicts; maintain change management processes.
• Build, support, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using GitLab, Artifactory, and deployment automation technologies.
• Develop and maintain IaC solutions using Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and platform management.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and business teams to deliver reliable technology solutions.
