Verizon Connect is seeking an experienced Database Administrator in the Atlanta, GA region to join our Global Database Services team. The role requires ownership of database incidents, proactive problem solving, and delivering timely resolutions with strong customer communication.

The candidate should have 4+ years of DB admin experience, expertise in SQL Server 2019/2022, and hands-on work with AWS RDS. This hybrid position combines remote work with three days in the office.

Qualifications

• Four+ years of relevant database administration in large data environments.
• Deep understanding of SQL Server architecture and components.
• Experience with SQL Server 2019/2022 and AWS RDS.

Responsibilities

• Own and resolve database incidents and requests within SLAs.
• Review backups, maintenance, and monitoring daily.
• Respond to alerts and escalate with engineering for recurring issues.
• Enhance automation and monitoring platforms.
