Fuze Health is seeking a Senior Database Administrator to lead the Hospice unit's AWS database modernization. You will drive migration from SQL Server 2016 on EC2 to AWS RDS, modernize SSIS/SSRS, optimize costs, and upskill the current Hospice SQL DBA team on cloud operations.

You will establish cloud-native monitoring, enforce HITRUST compliance, and collaborate with DevOps on Terraform-managed infrastructure, ensuring scalable, secure data platforms for national care delivery.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in database administration.
• Deep expertise with Microsoft SQL Server (2016+) performance tuning, high availability, disaster recovery.
• Hands-on experience with SQL Server version upgrades and end-of-support migrations.
• Strong hands-on experience with SSIS ETL packages and SSRS reports.
• Experience with AWS RDS (SQL Server) setup, migration, monitoring, Multi-AZ.
• Experience with AWS-native ETL and data migration tooling (AWS DMS, AWS Glue).
• Experience with database migration projects and backup/restore strategies.
• Experience with monitoring tools (Datadog, CloudWatch) and TPM/DMVs.

Responsabilités

• Lead SQL Server modernization on EC2 and migration to AWS RDS.
• Migrate and maintain SSIS ETL packages and SSRS reports or re-platform to AWS-native tools.
• Drive database cost optimization and right-sizing.
• Upskill Hospice SQL DBA team on AWS database operations and cloud best practices.
• Establish cloud-native monitoring using Datadog and CloudWatch.
• Design automated backup, restore and disaster recovery processes with AWS Backup.
• Collaborate with DevOps on Terraform for RDS infrastructure.
• Ensure HITRUST compliance across database systems.
