Job summary

Amentum is seeking a software engineer in Maryland to develop, integrate and maintain data-intensive software across front-end and back-end components. You'll work with teams to analyze data flows, implement features and optimize performance using SPLUNK, Java, C++, and RESTful services.

The role requires extensive Java/JEE experience, JSP/Servlets, and familiarity with Tomcat and modern tooling such as Docker, Maven, GitLab and CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

• Three plus years of experience with SPLUNK.
• Three plus years of C++ experience.
• Nineteen (19) years of experience is required if no bachelor's degree; otherwise 15+ years.
• Five or more years of JSP and servlet programming experience.
• Five or more years of experience with JEE and enterprise web application design and development.
• Five or more years of experience designing and writing REST-ful applications.
• Ability to deploy applications in an Apache Tomcat server.
• Experience with Javascript libraries such as Jquery, Angular, and EXTJS.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and enhance complex software systems per requirements.
• Review and test software components and document results.
• Develop algorithms to meet performance standards and assist with test procedures.
• Coordinate with system engineers to derive software requirements and interfaces.
• Design and implement complex database interfaces and data repositories.
