Amentum in Maryland is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join a team delivering data processing applications that integrate with hardware design and field operations. You will contribute to back-end analytics, front-end dashboards, and real-time systems within an agile environment.

The role requires extensive Java/C++ experience, RESTful services, and enterprise web development, plus a TS/SCI with Poly clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS or a related technical field is required.
• 14+ years of overall software development experience with strong Java/C++ background.
• Experience designing RESTful applications and enterprise web apps.
• Proficiency with Tomcat, JSP/JEE, and modern JS frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance complex software systems and real-time data processing.
• Review tests, resolve defects, and document software components.
• Design new features, integrate existing software, and optimize performance.
• Lead software teams and ensure adherence to development processes.
• Collaborate with system and hardware engineers to derive requirements.
• Mentor developers and contribute to documentation and standards.
