Job summary

Amentum is seeking a senior software engineer to develop analytics at scale, collaborating with data scientists and end users to operationalize data science solutions within the customer’s corporate architecture. You will prototype, develop, integrate, test, and deploy tools and tradecraft, contributing to critical global challenges.

Required expertise includes Jupyter Notebooks, Java MapReduce, Python PySpark, and strong analytics/machine learning foundations, along with experience in big data

Qualifications

• Experience with Python, Java, and spark-based analytics.
• Proficiency in statistical analysis and machine learning fundamentals.
• Familiarity with data architectures, data flows, and big data platforms.
• Experience with customer tools, architecture, data flow, and big data platforms.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with data scientists and mission analysts to solve the most demanding strategic problems.
• Perform end-to-end software engineering: prototype, develop, integrate, test, and deploy tools and tradecraft into the customer’s corporate architecture.
• Collaborate with customers on architecture, data flow, and use of big data solutions.
• Maintain a safety culture, ensuring all training requirements and emergency response tasks are completed.
