Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Splunk Software Engineer to join our team near Annapolis Junction, MD. The role focuses on building and maintaining Splunk architectures, ensuring secure data flows, and supporting systems across intelligence and defense domains.

You will work as part of a team delivering information security solutions, with responsibilities spanning production support, design, and deployment of scalable Splunk solutions to meet growing needs.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline with eight years SWE experience; master’s degree with six years; PhD with three; 14 years may substitute for degree.
• One of the following Splunk certifications: Splunk Certified User, Power User, Admin, Accredited Core Implementation, Accredited Consultant.

Responsibilities

• Act as Splunk SME; provide input into strategies, capabilities, and integrations to improve availability and performance.
• Provide production and infrastructure support, root cause analysis, troubleshooting, health monitoring.
• Design Splunk systems to meet growth while balancing performance, stability, and agility.
• Design and develop software solutions by analyzing stakeholder requirements and conferring with users.
• Implement complex algorithms with timing and resource constraints; perform quality control on team products.
• Size Splunk architectures and design complex deployments.
