Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Software Engineer to develop and maintain complex software systems, including analytics, real-time data processing, and enterprise applications, in a collaborative team environment.

The role requires strong Java experience (7+ years) with Spring, JSP, JEE, and RESTful API design, plus familiarity with Apache Tomcat and data-driven development. TS/SCI with Poly clearance is required, and a Bachelor's in CS or related field is expected.

Qualifications

• Seven or more years of relevant Java programming experience to include at least two years of Java 1.7+ and development of presentation tiers.
• One or more years of experience using Spring and JavaScript.
• Two or more years of JSP and servlet programming experience.
• Two or more years of experience with JEE and enterprise web application design and development.
• One or more years of experience designing and writing REST‑ful applications.
• Ability to create and deploy applications in an Apache Tomcat web server.

Responsibilities

• The Software engineer develops, maintains, and enhances complex and diverse software systems based on documented requirements.
• Reviews and test software components for adherence to the design requirements and documents test results.
• Resolves software problem reports and fixes defects.
• Utilizes software development methodologies appropriate to the environment.
• Provide inputs for system design including trade-offs and reuse.
• Develop algorithms to meet performance standards and participate in test procedures.
