Job summary

Amentum is seeking a software engineer to develop, integrate, and report data, focusing on SPLUNK integration and enterprise data flows. You will work across projects to understand data types, communicate changes, and ensure data sources are properly incorporated for SPLUNK reporting.

The role covers design, development, and maintenance of analytics and web applications, with a strong emphasis on performance, scalability, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Three plus years of experience with SPLUNK.
• Three plus years of C++ experience.
• 14 or more years of relevant Java programming experience to include at least two years of Java 1.7+ and development of presentation tiers.
• Two or more years of experience using Spring and Javascript.
• Five or more years of JSP and servlet programming experience.
• Five or more years of experience with JEE and enterprise web application design and development.
• Five or more years of experience designing and writing REST-ful applications.
• Ability to create and deploy applications in an Apache Tomcat web server.
• One or more years experience using Javascript presentation libraries such as jQuery, Angular, and EXTJS.
• One or more years of MongoDB, Apache Camel desired.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance complex software systems per requirements.
• Review and test software components for design conformity and test results.
• Resolve software problem reports and implement improvements.
• Coordinate with system engineers and hardware engineers for requirements and performance.
