Job summary

PACS Group in Las Vegas is seeking a Staff Speech-Language Pathologist. The role focuses on evaluating residents, creating and updating individualized treatment plans, and coordinating with physicians and families to support communication and swallowing goals.

The position involves supervising CFY – Speech Clinical Fellows or students, delivering staff in-services, and ensuring compliant documentation across medical records.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology is required.
• Master’s or Doctorate in Speech-Language Pathology preferred; licensure may require ongoing CE.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents to determine speech therapy needs and goals.
• Develop and update individualized treatment plans.
• Supervise CFY – Speech Clinical Fellows and students, if applicable.
• Communicate progress and discharge plans with physicians, nursing staff, residents, and families.
• Complete timely documentation in accordance with regulations and payer requirements.
• Provide in-services and training for facility staff.
• Assist with training Restorative Aides as needed.
• Facilitate ordering of durable medical equipment to aid independence.
• Participate in Resident Care conferences and Rehabilitation meetings.
