Job summary

PACS Group seeks a Staff Speech-Language Pathologist to evaluate and treat residents, communicate with families and health professionals, and document services within medical records. The role includes in-services for staff and supervision of CFY or student trainees in resident care.

The position requires a state license, at least a bachelor’s in Speech-Language Pathology (Masters/Doctorate preferred), and CPR if licensure requires it.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Masters or Doctorate in Speech-Language Pathology preferred.
• Licensed as a Speech Therapist in the state.
• CPR certification, if required by licensure.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents to determine speech therapy needs and rehabilitation potential.
• Develop and update individualized treatment plans to improve mobility, strength, balance, endurance, and functional independence.
• Supervise CFY – Speech Clinical Fellows and students as applicable.
• Communicate progress with physicians, nursing staff, residents, and families; participate in care conferences and discharge planning.
• Complete timely, accurate, and compliant documentation per facility and governmental requirements.
• Educate residents, families, and caregivers on treatment goals, home exercise programs, and safety techniques.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
